What this site is

Essential Mac Apps is a directory of Mac apps. Listings are reviewed by hand before they appear. Essential Mac Apps is not affiliated with Apple Inc.

Submissions

Anyone can send an app for review. Sending a form does not publish the app. The owner may approve it, reject it, edit the public fields, or delete it. There is no fee for a listing, and approval is not guaranteed.

Submit only an app you are allowed to describe. Include a working website. The icon and screenshots should be images of that app.

Listings

Public pages show approved apps. Facts we do not know are left blank. Sample listings are marked as sample data until real apps replace them. A featured flag does not change the editorial order of a list.

Your email

The email on the form is for review contact. It is not published. The privacy page lists what else the form stores.
